Investment firm to more than double the size of its office in Boston's Back Bay
Volition Capital, a growth equity firm established in 2010 that focuses on investing in high-growth, founder-owned technology businesses across the U.S. and Canada, signed one of the largest office leases in Boston during the month of May, leasing 21,479 square feet at 1 Exeter Plaza.
The 15-story office building located at 699 Boylston St. in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood is owned by Boston-based AEW Capital Management.
The investment firm will more than double the size of its current office at 177 Huntington Ave. when it relocates to the 11th and 12th floors of the 215,912-square-foot office building. The move is expected to take place this summer.
Originally developed by Ruben Companies in 1984, 1 Exeter Plaza was acquired by AEW Capital for $112 million in 2011. The building remains a prominent fixture in the Back Bay.
Volition Capital manages a diverse portfolio of high-growth companies, including PetScreening, ButterflyMX, Chamberlain Coffee, and others.
For the record
